Welcome to my site

Welcome everyone to my website for my chidlren's book "Scardust." My hopes in bringing this book to life is to help those of us out there who are suffering with the scars of our lives. Whether that be chronic illness, terminal illness, burns, accidents, traumas, or even pyschological scars. We all have scars, and we will all get scars throughout our lives. It is what we do with those scars, how we wear them. I used to be very self-concious of my scars from about 50 surgeries. Most of them are small in comparison to those who have significant physical scarring, but they are noticible to me, isn't that all that matters. I know what it is like to experience the riggor of disease, I have Cystic Fibrosis as many of you now know. I wanted to come up with something that could effect the lives of children and their families going through situations like I did. I want kids to know that having scars doesn't mean that you cannot be beautiful and full of life. They are what sets us apart from everyone else. They are what makes us who we are. That should be something you are never ashamed of. The purpose of the e-column is to share my thoughts, share things that will be going on in my journey of life and this book. I can't wait to share with you all the amazing connections and people that I encounter in getting this book out there, plus, I have to keep you all wanting more anyhow. Approximately every 2 weeks I will be posting to the site and updating you all on the progress of the book, and address certain thoughts or feelings I might have at that time. I encourage you all to share with me your ideas, your thoughts on living life with a chronic illness, or simply sharing your story and your scars with me. I wish all of you luck and success in your life and your journey to accept the scars you have been given with love by God. God Bless each and every one of you, hope to see you soon, keep checking back for new updates on the crazy life of Jenn. Ha! Thank you all for your support and love, no one gets anywhere alone! Love Jennifer
